Community Book Center hosts pre-Home Fest screening of ‘Get Out’
The Community Book Center will host a free screening of the 2017 psychological horror film “Get Out” this Friday (June 23) night. The event is free and open to the public.
The showing takes place from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m. at Community Book Center, located on 2523 Bayou Road. The film screening will feature the alternative ending for “Get Out” and a dialogue on the film that audience members may participate in. Refreshments will also be on sale.
Community Book Center’s free screening this weekend previews the center’s Home Fest, an annual community festival for people to gather and speak with the community on topics like books, music, and education. Home Fest can feature book signings and performances by local musicians.
A pancake breakfast on Saturday (June 24) will follow the “Get Out”screening and will include a guest speaker discussing New Orleans charter schools.
