Dillard to host health fair and school supply giveaway on Saturday

Dillard University will host a community health fair and school supply giveaway on Saturday (July 15) for members of the New Orleans community.
The Health & Resources Fair will feature over 40 exhibitors that will provide health resources such as dental screenings, Covid booster shots, wellness checks for children and more.
School supplies will be given away to 345 students in grades 3 through12. Children must be present to receive the items, which will be given away while supplies last.
Special guests in attendance will include Dillard University President Rochelle Ford, Nick Harris, director of the Office of Community and Church Relations, as well as City Council members and members of Dillard University’s cabinet.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. and take place on Dillard’s campus, 2601 Gentilly Blvd. It is scheduled to end at 1 p.m.
The fair is part of Dillard University’s mission to help build healthy communities with an emphasis on sustainability and innovation. “I am excited to host another outreach effort to connect our community with vital resources,” said Harris of Dillard’s Office of Community and Church Relations. “Each year we are able to expand our outreach and our resources because we are supported by remarkable sponsors, both locally and nationally.”
