Dillard University announces 2016 Phonathon
The Dillard University Office of Institutional Advancement is preparing for its 2016 Phonathon on Wednesday, June 15, and continuing on Thursday, June 16. The event is part of Dillard’s push to meet its annual alumni-giving goal prior to the end of the 2015-16 fiscal year.
Volunteers will gather in the Justice Revius O. Ortique Jr. Mock Trial Courtroom in the Dillard Professional Schools and Sciences Building from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
“We have had great success over the past three years in increasing our alumni giving,” said Marc Barnes, Vice President of Institutional Advancement. “This event is another step towards our supporters throughout the country to get them engaged and giving to the university on an annual basis.”
Director of Development El Cabrel Lee is excited for the opportunity to regenerate the phonathon, which was last conducted in 2008. “No one can talk about what Dillard is doing better than we can”, he said. “Our goal is to make sure that the Dillard community knows about the great things we’re doing here and how they can be a part of that. As the cost of educating students continues to rise, it is critical to have the support of your alumni in keeping the university strong.”
