Dîner en Blanc to celebrate fifth year in New Orleans
The international “chic picnic” Le Dîner en Blanc will host its 5th celebration in New Orleans this Saturday. The dinner, hosted in a secret location, is expected to bring 4300 guests together, all dressed in white.
According to the Dîner en Blanc website, the dinner is meant to recall the elegance and glamor of high French society. Year after year across the world, thousands of white-clad guests descend upon the host city’s most prestigious public spaces. The 5th celebration of Le Dîner en Blanc New Orleans will take place on Saturday, May 13 at a secret location.
According to The Spears Group, the organizers for the New Orleans celebration, the first Le Dîner en Blanc – New Orleans was held in 2013 at the Port of New Orleans with around 800 guests. Last year, over 3,200 picnic goers converged at the Plaza of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome to participate in this now yearly tradition. They are expecting more than 4,300 guests to attend this year.
