Families in Gentilly don’t have to go far to take the kids to an Easter egg hunt. Joe Brown Park, the New Orleans Museum of Art and City Park are all holding Easter events for children this weekend.
Don’t have kids? There’s an Easter egg hunt for you, too, with free-flowing beer in City Park’s Carousel Gardens Amusement Park.
Eggstravaganza on Lafitte Greenway
Children are invited to hunt for Easter eggs at Joe W. Brown Park on Saturday, April 1. The free Easter Eggstravaganza is hosted by the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission.
The event will include bounce houses, face painting, treat bags, sack races and a visit from the Easter Bunny — as well as the hunt for candy-filled eggs.
Families will gather at Joe Brown Rec Center, 5601 Read Blvd., and will need to bring their own Easter basket.
The free event will last from 10 am to 1 p.m.
