Gentilly residents, businesses may experience low water pressure in the Filmore area
The Cooper Contractor Company, which works for the Sewerage and Water Board, will be replacing fire hydrants in the Filmore area Tuesday (Aug. 16). Residents and businesses in the area may notice lower water pressure between the times of 9 a.m. t0 5 p.m., if they live in the area.
This project will take place in two different phases.
The first phase will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Perlita Street and Mirabeau Avenue to Perlita Street and Owens Boulevard.
The second phase will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Harrison Avenue and Davey Street to Harrison Avenue and Saint Bernard Avenue.
According to Sewage & Water Board of New Orleans, all scheduled work may change due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather delays.
