LEAD program to train the next generation of community leaders
The LEAD Community Training Program is a workshop series by The Foundation for Louisiana (FFL) designed to empower its participants in the areas of Leadership, Engagement, Advocacy, and Development, for which the program is named. The seven-week program plans to teach participants skills in community organizing, advocacy, public policy, and land use and development.
The registration deadline for the 2017 LEAD program is Friday, Feb. 10.
According to FFL, LEAD graduates develop the skills that they need to enact positive change through their organizations and communities while building strong relationships with other neighborhood leaders from across the city.
The program makes up the first phase of Foundation for Louisiana’s annual TOGETHER Initiative, which works to help New Orleans residents participate more actively and effectively in the decision-making processes that impact their communities.
