Man found dead on the bank of Bayou St. John was victim of stabbing, NOPD says
A man was found dead Friday (April 23) morning on the bank of Bayou St. John, between Filmore Avenue and Robert E. Lee Boulevard, the New Orleans Police Department reported.
At about 7:25 a.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to a call of a person down in the 5700 block of Wisner Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male lying along the bank of the bayou. Multiple stab wounds were evident, police said.
Dabney was declared dead at the scene by medical responders, and police classified the death as a homicide. He died of sharp force injuries, the Coroner’s Office said.
