Proposal for medical center, pharmacy drive-thru to go before City Planning Commission
A revised request for an Ocshner medical center and an accompanying pharmacy drive-thru at the former site of the Lake Terrace Shopping Center will go before the City Planning Commission, after the previous request was approved by City Council but never had the project built. This request replaces the original approval and also removes plans for a coffee shop venue with a drive-thru facility.
The address of the site is 1532 Robert E. Lee Boulevard.
According to the City Planning Commission’s report, the request proposes to construct a large three story building with a covered parking lot area and 37 parking spaces. The first floor includes the parking lot, medical offices of Ocshner, and the pharmacy drive-thru facility, while the second floor will have more medical offices and spaces for related use for by the Ochsner Medical Center departments.
Floor three will be built also, but it currently has no tenants. Like floor two, floor three is a 22,105 square-foot facility.
The zoning docket item will go before the City Planning Commission in City Hall council chambers starting at 1:30 p.m this Tuesday (Feb. 7).
