Royal Brewery is banding together with two other Louisiana breweries this weekend to raise money for the Houston Food Bank Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. This Friday thru Sunday, September 15 thru 17, Abita Brewing Company in Abita Springs, Bayou Teche Brewing in Arnaudville, and New Orleans’ own Royal Brewery will all donate $2 from each pint of beer sold at their taprooms.
Proceeds from sales this weekend will go to directly Houston Food Bank. According to their website, they plan to: “provide food and supplies in the short term and for many months to come to residents in southeast Texas who will struggle to rebuild their lives. The Food Bank will work closely with [their] network of partner agencies to ensure food is getting to those who need it most.”
The Royal Brewery New Orleans taproom, located at 7366 Townsend Place, is open Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can enjoy pints of Royal’s handcrafted ales while celebrating the kick-off to 2017’s Louisiana Craft Beer Week.
