Six victims reported in shooting on Franklin Avenue
Six people out of family and friends sitting on a porch were shot Thursday night (June 8) on the 3600 block of Franklin Avenue, according to NOPD.
New Orleans Police said the shots came around 8 p.m. in the Gentilly Terrace area. During a press conference at University Medical Center, Mayor Mitch Landrieu said that one victim is in critical condition from the shooting, while a four-year-old child suffered a bullet grazing their head.
WWLTV spoke with victim Henry Randolph, who said he was starting to get on his bike to head to the store, when he was shot four times. He reportedly suffered injuries in the arm, back and buttocks.
Randolph told WWLTV that everyone involved in the shooting is fine, except his stepson who is still in the hospital.
Details on the suspect or suspects of the shooting are currently unknown, as authorities continue to investigate.
