Suspect arrested in shooting that left two women injured
Walter Bradix, 35, was arrested Saturday (June 11) in Jefferson Parish in a connections with a shooting that injured a woman in Gentilly, the New Orleans Police Department reported.
The shooting occurred at 8:40 p.m. the same day in the 2200 block of Mendez Street, near Elysian Fields Avenue. Bradix was reportedly arguing with a woman when she and another woman nearby were struck by gunfire.
One of the victims was taken to the hospital, while the other refused treatment, police said.
Bradix faces charges of aggravated second-degree battery and illegal carrying of a firearm.
