Suspect sought for vehicle burglary on Madrid Street
The NOPD asks for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in an auto burglary that occurred in the 1300 block of Madrid Street on the night of Friday, June 24.
Surveillance video shows three suspects burglarizing a vehicle. The photo of the suspect pictured to the right was pulled from the videos below.

Here are some tips from NOPD on how to avoid car break-ins and thefts:
1. Lock the doors.
2. Close windows and sunroofs.
3. Don’t leave valuables such as laptops, cell phones, wallets, purses or GPS devices in plain view.
4. Put away the garage door opener and any items with personal information.
5. Move valuables to the trunk before reaching your destination.
6. Don’t leave keys in the vehicle.
Citizens with information that can help solve a crime are asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP. You could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500 for the information leading only to the arrest, except on homicides, where Crimestoppers will pay half of the reward upon the arrest and half on the indictment of the responsible person(s).
