Three suspects arrested in car-burglary spree in Gentilly Terrace, St. Anthony neighborhoods
New Orleans police arrested Devain Washington, 20; Nakeiah Andrews, 18; and Jermaine Jones, 19, in connection to multiple vehicle burglaries that occurred on Jan. 17 across Gentilly.
During the investigation, detectives were able to quickly identify the vehicle reportedly used to commit auto burglaries in the 4300 block of Eastern Street, 2000 and 2300 block of Stephen Girard Street, and 5700 block of St. Anthony Avenue.
Once alerted, Orleans Parish Levee Board Officers located the vehicle and, after a pursuit, apprehended the three suspects. Officers also discovered multiple stolen handguns in their possession.
All three suspects were booked Jan. 18 into the Orleans Parish Criminal Justice Center on charges including simple criminal damage, possession of stolen things, possession of a stolen vehicle and armed robbery.
They remained jailed Sunday, Washington on $66,000 bond, Andrews on $14,000 bond and Jones on $12,000 bond.
