Low water pressure expected during waterline work in Gentilly
Residents and businesses on several streets in the Gentilly area will experience low water pressure on Monday, July 17 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sewerage and Water Board crews will be performing waterline work on a leak located at the section of Filmore and St. Roch Avenues that has been ongoing since Jan. 2017. The repair involves a 50-inch water main connected to the largest system in the city.
According to Lisa Martin, Sewerage and Water Board Deputy Director of Communications, no boil water advisory was necessary when crews performed a test closure, so they are hoping for similar results with the water closure on Monday.
Streets will be affected by low water pressure are:
- On Music Street from Filmore Avenue to Dreux Avenue
- On Cameron Boulevard from Filmore Avenue to St. Anthony Street
- On Franklin Avenue from Dreux Avenue to Athis Street
