Rashaad Evans Foundation hosts annual Media Camp this Saturday
After success with the Rashaad Evans Foundation’s 2018 Media Camp, the nonprofit will host its second annual camp this Saturday, August 17 on Gentilly Blvd. Founder Rashaad Evans said their goal is to help the youth develop positive mental health, wealth, and financial literacy practices through arts and healthier lifestyles.

The camp features a youth-focused panel discussion about possible careers in media. “Specifically with our media camp, we’re trying to expose our youth or adults to career paths they might not know about,” Evans said.
This year’s panel includes Endoscopy Nurse Manager Erika Martin, Entrepreneurs and wrldinvsn owners Marlon Watts and Nick Clark, Author Keione Vance, Videographer Darrin Defillo, News Anchor Lora Lavigne, and ESPN Radio Personality Norman Loche. Lavigne and Loche also spoke at the inaugural event.

“I started doing this event because it took me until my senior year of high school to figure out my career path,” Evans said. “Just trying to honestly create paths that people might not even be thinking of that fit their interest.”
The 2nd Annual Media Camp takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, August 17, at All Access Foundation headquarters at 1995 Gentilly Blvd, Ste. C18.
